SPRING IS SPRUNGING

I saw this on a blog and thought it was just a fabulous idea! Spring is sprunging, and we have an herb garden planned for pots on the back & front porch in Georgia. Definately have to have catnip for the cats. And this year I will have larger tomatoes. Last year I had a million tiny tomatoes, and it wasnt the same. I will also have as many flowers as I can plant. The daffodils are coming up now in Georgia. I am still in Florida and can't see them, but since I plant for Mother Nature anyway, I still count myself content. I want to plant alot of millet for the birds too. That is so fun & easy to plant- just sprinkle some birdseed on the ground & stand back! I hope to do better on sunflowers this year.
I plant wherever I am, and I do it for the Earth. I consider it an important step in preserving Our Mother's health. I enjoy watching things grow too -- unless it is kudzu. Then only on someone else's land!

  1. Just this morning I was thinking I might try my hand at growing tomatoes this year. I'd have to do it in a barrel or large pot to keep the plants away from the pup.

I always thought it would be fun to have an herb garden.

    1. Herbs are fun! We use them to cook with too, and my mom uses them for cosmetics and stuff. They also are very pretty plants. We have this Rosemary bush that is awesome, I love to cut sprigs and put them in a vase. We really have to do better this year with gardening, last year was an experiment. Good luck with your tomatoes! They are pretty satisfying too. Have you tried those upside down tomato growers yet?

    1. Hi Pauleen! I am back in the mountains again & everything is blooming. the 50 daffodil bulbs I planted in fall are a huge success. I will plant so many more this year- different types of daffodils & tulips. It is time to get the herbs started, but I am still unpacking & recovering from Florida trip.
