A DREAM AWAY

               A DREAM AWAY

Spring bursts upon us
in a joyous song
Totally disrupting
Winter's deep & quiet calm.
Deep & dreamy woods
sunlight patches shining through
Animals scamper across your path
They all live here too.
A knee deep wade in leaves
each had their private fall
In generations of Autumn
From trees reaching & growing tall.
Surround me in my mountains
now I've come home to stay --
I'm tired of living far from home
Though it's only a dream away.
