CRITTER UPRISING

     YIKES!! Last night, Dragonfly (my mom's cat who used to be mine, but fell in love with my mom and follows at her heels), informed me that we have been feeding a very fat racoon on our back porch catfood, instead of the local stray Miss Bobbi Sue... Come to think of it, we haven't seen Bobbi Sue for awhile now...
     And in the middle of the night, my mighty warriors Hezekiah & Tallulah alerted me to the fact that there was a scorpion in my bedroom, not 3 feet from my bed!! OK, so I am not a happy person right now... have to declutter & bugspray my room today.. We have been so busy decluttering and downsizing that I haven't paid much attention to my own room. Yikes. I am skeered.
     And the deer ate my pansies about a week ago!
     Yes, I love Nature, but some of it needs to keep its distance from me or my personal space! Thank Goodness for our brave, strong cats!
     In the good news aisle, I now have my very own pet potted Foxglove!! And a healthy, happy potted herbs & mints garden.

    ANOTHER scorpion in your house?! I've never heard of them being indoors before! I've never even seen one! YIKES!

      Yeah, IN THE HOUSE!! Georgia's scorpions aren't as big as out west, but still terrifying.. We have to get some bug spray to spray around base of house. I did spray room today but we will see if I am safe. The worst is that if I think about it, I imagine them on me... Oh by the way, little town down the road: SCORPION HOLLOW.. Now how can they think someone would find that name appealing & wanna live there? I guess everyplace has its downside...

    Not another one. That would freak me out!
    I would keep shoes by the bedside and wear them at all times.

    The foxgloves are beautiful.

      I would be afraid to slip my feet into shoes without checking them. and yes, the foxgloves (and herbs) are so very happy here!

      ha ha... I ALWAYS check my shoes before putting them on! And I check under the covers before I get into bed!

      Me too.. When I lived in Colorado, I just slept on covers on the floor & always checked since spiders liked to hide there.

    Wow. Yeah, if I even see something like that on TV I feel them crawling on me! If I had one in the house I wouldn't be able to sleep. Seriously... I once had a cricket in my old apartment and my roommate was gone for the night... I sat up all night, keeping my eyes wide open! A scorpion in my house is more than enough reason to MOVE!

      I can handle a cricket, they are cute- besides the cats would pounce it--- but I prefer my bugs OUTSIDE & on someone else's property!
